Free public forum series on Monday nights covering snowpack, conditions, and backcountry decision-making, hosted by the nonprofit Telluride Avalanche School. Start time and venue vary by week.
Multiple Rescue / Level 1 / Level 2 courses each winter
Telluride (classroom + San Juan backcountry field days)
AIARE-curriculum Avalanche Rescue, Level 1, and Level 2 courses run on set multi-day dates each season. The Peter Inglis Avalanche Education Fund offers scholarships toward tuition.
By arrangement throughout the winter touring season

AMGA-trained guides lead day tours and instruction in the San Juan backcountry; scheduled on request rather than a fixed weekly time.
